Hawkins to seek another city council term while McKinney will decide whether or not to run again.

WEBSTER CITY-With the announcement this week of Logan Welch not seeking another term on the Webster City City Council,council member John Hawkins has announced he will seek another term in the November municipal election. Council member Matt McKinney will be announcing soon whether or not he will run again this year. The terms of all three council members will expire at the end of this year.Nomination papers for the three council seats may be taken out at the Webster City city hall starting August 25th. The papers must be returned before 5 p.m. on September 18th to the Webster City city hall. There are two other members on the Webster City city council whose terms expire at the end of 2027. They are those of Abbie Hansen and Megan McFarland. Both Hawkins and McKinney have served on the Webster City city council for the last 12 years.
