New provider for Van Diest Medical Center

WEBSTER CITY-Lee Carlson, ARNP FNP-C, of Stratford, is the newest member of the Van Diest Medical Center (VDMC) provider team. He has been hired as a full-time provider in the Emergency Department.

 

Carlson is a graduate of Webster City High School and Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, and his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE. Prior to joining VDMC, he worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at McFarland Clinic Emergency Medicine in Ames and most recently, he was a Family Nurse Practitioner for Hansen Family Hospital, Iowa Falls Clinic, NESCO Clinic, Hospitalist Service and Primary Care in Iowa Falls and Zearing.

 

Carlson will begin covering shifts in the ED during the month of August and will start his full-time duties here as of October 4, 2025. He will also start working PRN, seeing patients in the Stratford Clinic on Thursdays in August, beginning August 14, and will continue to work there through the months of August and September.
