A public hearing for the proposed increase in Jewell’s water and sewer rates will be set at this ( Monday) evening’s meeting of the Jewell City Council set for 7:00 p.m. in the Jewell City Hall. The council will be updated on maintenance for the Maguire Iron water tower project and on rural water around the Jewell area. There will be an update on crosswalks on Main Street, setting the date of September 26th for a street closure from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. for the Jewell Market and considering the purchase of cameras for the city plus other matters that may come before the city council.
