The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship announced Wednesday that Stratford Country Store is the recipient of a $50,000 grant for a retail biodiesel site. The selection of the Stratford Country Store by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is a way to help support new and expanded biodiesel infrastructure projects in the state. There were 24 applications approved Wednesday by the state ag department. These investments help drivers save money by providing expanded access to lower cost and cleaner burning homegrown biofuels like biodiesel and E15, The more than $1.12 million in cost-share grants was awarded by the Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program Board quarterly meeting on July 17th.
