Briggs Woods Park to offer a program on Bee Keeping Basics on July 25th.

The basics of bee keeping will be the subject of a program set for Friday evening,July 25th at Shelter One at Briggs Woods Park south of Webster City beginning at 8:00 p.m. Mark Moberly of MOBEEZ will offer a live bee observation hive for people to view and raw honey to sample. There will be a discussion on what can be done in city limits and out of city limits for bee keeping, the benefits of raising bees and eating local honey. There will be some honey recipes for cooking for people to take. Beekeeper concerns and costs will also be discussed during the presentation.
