If you are interested in the bats of Iowa,you are invited to a bat talk at Shelter Number 3 at Briggs Woods Park south of Webster City on Wednesday evening,July 23rd at 9:00 p.m. There will be a bat observation at Wednesday’s event. The visitors will stand by the bat houses in the park to count how many bats fly out at dusk. Visitors will use a hand tally count at each of the houses and meet afterwards to total the bat counts. There will be a discussion on the benefit of bats and mention what human behaviors and diseases that threaten them.
