The Webster City Lynx softball team returned to action on Monday, as they traveled to Harcourt to take on the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at the Southeast Valley Softball Diamond. Webster City entered at 6-16, while Southeast Valley entered at 12-12.
Monday’s game would be a defensive chess match, as the first three innings went scoreless, before Southeast Valley plated a run in the 4th to take a 1-0 lead. Webster City would respond in the 6th with a run to tie the game at 1-1, but Southeast Valley would walk it off in the bottom of the 7th for a 2-1 victory.
