Two people injured in Sunday night motorcycle accident in rural Hamilton County.

Details were released today by the Iowa State Patrol of a motorcycle accident in rural Hamilton County last Sunday night, July 6th shortly before 10 p.m.  Reportedly a 2009 model Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Zachary Hammond of Boone was traveling westbound on Stagecoach Road at 280th Street south of Webster City when the motorcycle was traversing a curve to the south when a deer entered the roadway forcing the motorcycle into the west ditch. The Hammond motorcycle then slid on its driver’s side which threw the driver and his passenger Amber Hall also of Boone off into the ditch. Hall stated that she was asleep when the accident happened. Both Hammond and Hall were transported to hospitals in the Des Moines area for their treatment. The damage to the Hammond motorcyle was estimated at $1500. Investigating state trooper Davenport cited Zachary Hammond with Driving While License Suspended and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
