Webster City City Council set to meet this Monday evening,July 7th.

A meeting of the Webster City City Council is set for this Monday evening,July 7th at 6:00 in the city council chambers. One of the highlights of Monday’s meeting is to honor Marvin Carr as a Military Veteran Friendly of the Year for 2025 by Webster City mayor John Hawkins. There will be a public hearing on updating on an off-street parking requirement. A public hearing on controlled access facilities in the city will be held. The third reading on the establishment of new electric rates for residents, businesses and industrial consumers will be read at the council meeting. The new rates will begin in August. The city council will have the first reading on two ordinances. One is for trick-or-treating within the corporate limits of Webster City. The second hearing is for setting of special 45 mile per hour speed zones in the city.

A motion on Hamilton County Fair funding special request for $10,000 for the 2025 year from the Webster City Hotel Motel Tax Funds followed will be discussed by the council. There will be a resolution accepting a deduction to construction contract with Beckstrom Construction and the Closing Out the 2022 Electrical Underground Conversion Project. A resolution of a Professional Services Agreement for the Reisner Substation Testing to Electric Power Systems of Minneapolis,Minnesota will be considered by the city council. A development agreement between the City of Webster City and Lotus Community Project,Incorporated,Incorporated will be discussed. The Webster City City Council will consider the resolution accepting and approving the acquisition of property generally located at 1308 Willson Avenue in Webster City plus other matters before the council
