The Roland-Story Norsemen baseball team returned to action on Wednesday, as they hosted the Lenox Tigers for a non-conference doubleheader at Norsemen Field in Story City. Roland-Story entered at 18-8, while Lenox entered at 16-7.
Game 1 saw Lenox jump out to a fast start with 3 runs in the top of the 1st, taking a 3-0 advantage. Following a scoreless 2nd, Roland-Story exploded for 9 runs in the 3rd behind three straight bases-loaded walks, a Chance Georgious RBI single, a Cooper Triggs RBI single, an error and a 4th bases-loaded walk to put the Norsemen up 9-3. Roland-Story built on to the lead with 5 more runs in the 4th off a Braden Wallace RBI double, 2 bases-loaded walks and 2 bases-loaded hit-by-pitches as the Norsemen capped a 14-3, 5-inning victory.

Lenox would not respond until the 5th and tied the game at 1-1, as Roland-Story took the lead back in the 6th on a Braden Wallace RBI single at 2-1. Lenox had a late rally in them, putting up 3 runs in the 7th to capture a 4-2, come-from-behind victory.
Cooper Triggs went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, as Braden Wallace went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Jake Knoll picked up the loss, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits and struck out 2 in an inning of work.
