The Eagle Grove Eagles softball team returned to action on Wednesday, as they hosted the North Iowa Bison in Top of Iowa West action at Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove. Eagle Grove entered at 14-9, while North Iowa entered at 5-12.
Eagle Grove would get on the board first in the bottom half of the 1st, scoring 3 runs to take an initial 3-0 lead. After two straight scoreless frames, Eagle Grove added 5 more runs in the 4th to go ahead 8-0, as the Eagles kept the Bison off the scoreboard in an 8-0, 5-inning victory.
Holly Anderson had another big day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI, while Crystal Flores went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Mya Morgan pitched all 5 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit and struck out 4.
Eagle Grove softball returns to action on Thursday, when they host the Webster City Lynx in non-conference action with first pitch at 6 PM.
