The Iowa State Patrol investigated a two-vehicle accident shortly before 11 Thursday morning on Quail Avenue in Webster County. Reportedly a 2022 model Ford Maverick truck driven by Philip Knoll of Fort Dodge was traveling south when the camper trailer it was towing lost a tire,crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2023 model Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Joseph Hofbauer of Gowrie. Both drivers escaped injury in the Thursday morning crash. Investigating state trooper Nathan McKim estimated the damage to the Knoll vehicle at $500 with the damage to the Hofbauer truck at $1500.
