The Eagle Grove Eagles softball team returned to action on Friday, as they made the trip to Buffalo Center to take on the Bison of North Iowa in Top of Iowa West action at North Iowa High School. Eagle Grove entered at 5-4, while North Iowa entered at 5-5.
After a scoreless 1st, Eagle Grove would put up a run in the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles followed by putting up 4 runs in the 2nd, with another run in the 3rd, as Eagle Grove put the cherry on top with a 4-run 5th to take a 10-0 lead. Eagle Grove would close things out in the bottom of the 5th for a 10-0, 5-inning victory.
Holly Anderson would go 3-for-4 with 3 singles and 4 RBI, as Lily Locke went 3-for-3 with 3 singles and 2 RBI. Ellie Lenning would go 2-for-3 with 2 singles and 2 RBI, as Mya Morgan picked up the win in the circle, pitching 5 innings and allowing no runs on 3 hits and striking out 7.
Eagle Grove softball returns to action on Monday, when they travel to Forest City to take on the Indians in Top of Iowa West action at 6 PM.
