
The June meeting of the South Hamilton Community School Board will be this Monday evening, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the Junior/Senior High board room in Jewell. The board will consider a resolution ordering an election on the question of continuing to levy a voter approved Physical Plant and Equipment Property Tax for the school district. Another resolution to be discussed will be the transfer of funds to a flexibility account. The board will discuss the transferring the cost of protective equipment from the General Fund to the Activity Fund. An AEA contract for special education funds transfer will be on the agenda. The South Hamilton school board will take action of the addition of the Woodward-Granger school district to the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.
In other matters, the South Hamilton School board will look at the addition of an assistant dance coach, the installation of a scoreboard,look at the purchase of Ag Classroom storage and furniture, and look at the 28-E agreement with Hamilton County for a school resource officer at South Hamilton. The renewal of a superintendent sharing agreement with the United Community School District will be reviewed by the board. There will be action taken on personnel matters for the South Hamilton school district. Updates by superintendent Heather Holm,the school principals, athletic director and the buildings and grounds director will be on the agenda this Monday evening.
