The Webster City city council this Monday evening,June 16th will name Steve Hanson as Webster City’s new police chief. In the city council documents released Friday afternoon, Hanson will begin his new duties on June 23rd. Webster City city manager John Harrenstein said the hiring process included a professional search process and input from City Staff, Council Members and Community Members. Hanson succeeds former police chief Shiloh Mork who resigned last December. There will be more information on the new chief at Monday’s city council meetin.
