
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department investigated two accidents on Saturday in the county…
The first one happened shortly before 8:30 on the White Fox Road north of Webster City. Reportedly a south bound 2004 model Acura TSX car driven by Aaron Sudtelgte of Ackley,Iowa was on White Fox Road when the car veered off the right side of the roadway, onto the shoulder of the road. Sudtelgte then over corrected the car and veered back across the center line into the ditch on the east side of the roadway. The car overturned and landed on its wheels in the ditch facing east. The Van Diest Medical Center EMS ambulance was dispatched to the accident Saturday morning for treatment of possible injuries. The car was totaled in the accident. Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy Brandon Pritchard charged Aaron Sudtelgte with Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability for an Accident, Failure to Maintain Control and Operating While Under the Influence First Offense on Saturday morning.
A motorist from Randolph,Iowa escaped injury in a pickup accident Saturday afternoon at the southbound 135 mile marker of Interstate 35 northeast of Ellsworth. The accident happened at 3:52p.m. on Saturday. Reportedly a southbound 2007 model GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by Chad Rasmussen of Randolph was towing a vehicle on a flatbed trailer. The towed vehicle broke free off of the trailer. The vehicle rolled off into the roadway striking five Iowa DOT poles causing an estimated $2000 in damages.Investigating Hamilton County deputy Ethan Krieger estimated the damage to the Rasmussen truck at $2,000 in the Saturday afternoon accident
