
The Roland-Story Norsemen softball team returned to action on Friday, as they hosted the PCM Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at the Hennessy Diamonds in Roland. Roland-Story entered at 4-2, while PCM entered at 7-1 and ranked #4 in Class 3A.
Friday would belong to PCM from the get out, as the Mustangs put up 4 runs in the 1st, 3 runs in the 2nd, a run in the 3rd and 3 runs in the 4th. Roland-Story would be held off the scoreboard in the game as PCM finished off an 11-0, 4-inning victory.
Brookelyn Jondle, Lauren Crabbs and Evelyn Carlson recorded the lone Norsemen hits on Friday, as Miley Geise was charged with the loss, allowing 11 runs (6 earned) on 11 hits and striking out 1.
Roland-Story softball returns to action on Monday, when they travel to Des Moines to take on Saydel in Heart of Iowa Conference action at 7:30 PM.
