South Hamilton softball falls at (3A) #5 PCM, 11-0

The South Hamilton Hawks softball team returned to action on Wednesday, as they made the drive into Jasper County to take on the PCM Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at PCM High School in Monroe. South Hamilton entered at 0-4, while PCM entered at 5-0 and ranked #5 in Class 3A.

The first 2.5 innings would be scoreless on Wednesday night, before PCM blew the lid off the game with an 11-run 3rd inning which included 2 RBI doubles, 2 RBI singles, 2 errors and a sac fly to take an 11-0 lead. South Hamilton was sat down in order in the 4th as PCM claimed an 11-0 win.

South Hamilton would not register a hit on Wednesday night, as Jill Hesse was charged with the loss in the circle, allowing 11 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits and striking out 1.

South Hamilton softball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Roland to take on Roland-Story in a Heart of Iowa Conference makeup at 7:30 PM.
