
The South Hamilton Hawks softball team returned to action on Monday, as they made the trip to State Center to take on the West Marshall Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference action at West Marshall High School. South Hamilton entered at 0-3, while West Marshall entered at 3-3 and ranked #14 in Class 3A.
South Hamilton kept close with the rated-Trojans early, trailing just 2-0 after 2 innings. However, West Marshall broke things open with a 5-run 3rd inning, before ending the game in the 4th with 3 runs to give the Trojans a 10-0, 4-inning victory.
South Hamilton stats were not available as of Tuesday morning, the Hawks return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Roland to take on Roland-Story in Heart of Iowa Conference action at 7:30 PM.
