The Eagle Grove Eagles baseball team returned to action on Monday, as they made the trip to Algona to take on the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears at Bishop Garrigan High School in Top of Iowa West Action. Eagle Grove entered at 1-3, while Garrigan entered at 2-2.
Garrigan would start things quickly in the bottom of the first, putting up 4 runs to take a 4-0 lead. That margin would hold until the 5th, as Eagle Grove scratched a run across to cut the deficit to 4-1, but Garrigan answered with 5 more runs in the 6th to take a 9-1 lead and an eventual 9-1 win.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning, Eagle Grove baseball returns to action on Wednesday, when they host Lake Mills in Top of Iowa West action at Greenwood Park, beginning at 7:30 PM.
