The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls softball team returned to action on Thursday, as they made the drive into Floyd County to take on the Osage Green Devils in non-conference action at Osage High School. CGD entered with a record of 0-1, while Osage entered at 1-0 and ranked 13th in Class 2A.
Osage would jump on things from the get go, putting up 5 runs in the 1st inning, before a massive 9-run 2nd inning to put the #13 Green Devils up 14-0. Osage would put up 3 more runs in the 3rd before settling on a 16-0, 4 inning victory.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows softball returns to action on Friday, when they host Webster City in their North Central Conference opener, beginning at 7:30 PM.
