The South Hamilton Hawks girls golf teams returned to action on Friday, as they hosted their Class 1A Sectional Tournament at Jewell Golf and Country Club. The Hawks were joined by Belmond-Klemme, Bishop Garrigan, Colo-NESCO, Madrid, Ogden, West Fork and West Hancock.
South Hamilton would place 5th as a team by shooting a 434 (+146), but did manage to send an athlete on to the regional tournament, as junior Arynn Luppes placed 3rd and shot a 96 (+24) to advance to regionals.
Sophomore Grace Larson would tie for 19th and shoot a 108 (+36), junior Abby Richardson would tie for 23rd and shoot a 109 (+37), as junior Sydney Gelber placed 31st and shot a 121 (+49).
Junior Arynn Luppes will compete again in the Class 1A Region 3 Tournament at Highland Park Golf Course in Mason City, beginning at 9 AM.
