
The next meeting of the Webster City City Council is set for this Monday evening, May 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. Webster City Mayor John Hawkins will sign proclamations for Poppy Days on May 23 and 24, Memorial Day of May 26th. and the City Wide Clean Up set for June 13th and 14th in the middle school parking lot. Two public hearings will be a part of Monday’s meeting at 6:05 p.m. The first one is to amend the city budget for 2025. The second is for the construction of the 2025-26 Watermain Repairs and Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.The Employee Plan for 2025-26 will be approved. The council will adopt a resolution for the Group Benefit Plan for City Employees beginning July 1st,2025 with Iowa Governmental Health Care Plan,Third Party Administrator Employee Benefit Systems. There will be the third reading on amending the ordinance for Neglected Vacant Property.
In other matters, the Webster City City Council will consider supporting the Submission of an Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) Application to
the Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program by Wilson Estates LLC and supporting the Submission of an Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) Application to
the Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program by Wright Capital, LLC in Chicago. A resolution authorizing the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk to sign and execute the
Amendment to On-Call Street Paving Specialist Agreement with Snyder and Associates Inc. to provide
Professional Services needed for Mary Ann’s Specialty Foods Water Main extension on East Second Street plus other matters.
