The South Hamilton Hawks boys golf team returned to action on Wednesday, as they competed in their Class 1A Sectional Meet at Belle Plaine Country Club in Belle Plaine. The Hawks were joined by the host Plainsmen, as well as Baxter, BCLUW, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, GMG and Madrid.
South Hamilton claimed the sectional meet title with a team score of 324 (+36), as junior Luke Martensen captured the sectional individual title by shooting a 75 (+3). Junior Sam Koehnk would tie for 3rd and shoot an 81 (+9), while juniors Brody Harris and Michael Carlson would tie for 7th and each shoot 84’s (+12) to round out scoring. Senior Connor Deppe also shot an 84 (+12), while senior Landon Sogard would tie for 10th and shoot an 86 (+14).
South Hamilton boys golf returns to action on Monday, when they compete in their Class 1A District Tournament at Highland Park Golf Course in Mason City at 10 AM.
