The Roland-Story Norsemen boys golf team returned to action on Wednesday, as they hosted their Class 2A Sectional Tournament at River Bend Golf Course in Story City. The Norsemen were joined by Colo-NESCO, Dike-New Hartford, East Marshall, Grand View Christian, Grundy Center, South Hardin and West Marshall.
Roland-Story would place 3rd in the meet with a team score of 324 (+36) and advance as a team to Monday’s district tournament. The Norsemen’s top placer was sophomore Jake Knoll, who tied for 9th and shot a 79 (+7), as senior Jack Birkland also tied for 9th and shot a 79 (+7). Senior Braylen Loots would tie for 12th and shoot an 81 (+9), as junior Hayden Eslick would tie for 19th and shoot an 85 (+13).
Roland-Story boys golf returns to action on Monday, when they compete in their Class 2A District Tournament at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike at 10 AM.
