Webster City and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls golf competes in NCC Tournament in Fort Dodge

The Webster City Lynx and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls golf teams returned to action on Monday, when they made the trip to Fort Dodge to compete in the 2025 North Central Conference Tournament at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course. The Lynx and Cowgirls were joined by Algona, Clear Lake, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Humboldt, Iowa Falls-Alden and St. Edmond.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would put together an outstanding day to finish 3rd with a team score of 428 (+140), as their top scorer was senior Maddie Askvig, who tied for 4th with a score of 96 (+24). Senior Jordyce Duncalf and junior Claire Kirstein would tie for 19th and shoot a 110 (+38), while sophomore Blaire Askelsen would finish 23rd and shoot a 112 (+40).

Webster City would place 5th with a team score of 447 (+159), as their top scorer was sophomore Mylie Keller, who tied for 17th and shot a 109 (+37). Junior Alleyna Dawson would tie for 19th and shoot a 110 (+38), while juniors Ellie Peterson and Kenley Koop would tie for 25th and shoot 114’s (+42) each.

Webster City girls golf returns to action on Friday, when they compete in the Fort Dodge Girls Invitational at 10 AM. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls golf returns to action on Friday, when they host their Class 2A Regional at Clarmond Country Club in Clarion.
