The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field. Webster City entered at 11-0 and ranked #7 in 2A, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 0-10-1.
Webster City would waste little time in ambushing the Cadets, as Eddy Fuentes put up 3 goal (2′, 6′, 15′) in the first 15 minutes. The Lynx also got goals from Connor Peck (3′, 12′), David Villelas (17′, 20′), Francisco Ramirez-Carmona (22′), Abasai Ramirez-Carmona, Aaron Mendoza (35′) and Erick Utrera (’29) as the game ended at halftime due to mercy rule with a final score of 11-0.
Webster City boys soccer returns to action on Tuesday, when they host (2A) #8 Aplington-Parkersburg in top 10, non-conference showdown at Lynx Field at 3 PM.
