The Torch Run for Special Olympics in Hamilton County is set for Wednesday,May 21st beginning at 6:00p.m. While carrying the flame, law enforcement officers are referred to as “Guardians of the Flame” and will keep the torch lit as it travels from Iowa Central Community College to the Webster City Middle School. The route will be along Ohio Street to Des Moines Street ending at the Middle School. The public is invited to stand along the route cheering on the runners. The Torch Run is a kick off to the Special Olympic Summer Games at Iowa State University in Ames May 22 to 24.
