Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf compete in non-con quad in Story City

The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks girls golf teams returned to action on Monday, as they competed in a non-conference quad meet at River Bend Golf Course in Story City. The Norsemen and Hawks were joined by Ballard and North Polk.

Roland-Story won the meet with a team score of 174 (+30), as the Norsemen claimed the top 3 individual spots. Senior Brooke Thompson was the meet medalist, shooting a 39 (+3), while freshman Hadley Carlson and junior Brinley Carlson tied for runner-up, as each shot a 44 (+8). Senior Isabel Hoskins rounded out scoring with 47 (+11) and placing 5th.

South Hamilton placed 4th and shot a 270 (+126), as their top scorer was junior Arynn Luppes, who placed 12th and shot a 56 (+20). Junior Abby Richardson would shoot a 65 (+29) and place 17th, junior Sydney Gelder shot a 74 (+38) and placed 19th, while junior Sophie Nibe placed 20th and shot a 75 (+39).

Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf return to action on Wednesday, as they compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center.
