The flags at Graceland Cemetery will be going out soon. On May 15th, a group of High School Seniors will be helping the Legion pull the protective ground plugs and install the base poles. On Saturday, May 17th at 9:00 am we will be meeting at the flag building (Blue building on the east side of the cemetery) to install all of the flags. Anyone who would like to help is welcome. The flags will remain up for two weeks. We will meet again on May 31st at 9:00 am at the Blue building to remove all the flags. Again everyone is welcome to help. If you have your own flag and place it in a specific location, you must have it placed by the evening of May 14th and removed by May 30th.
A secondary Note about the Boy Scout Can Trailer. The Legion sponsors the Scout Troop.
Webster City Scout Troop has a new location for the can redemption trailer. The new location is on the east side of the parking lot across from Bomgaars. Please note that we can not take any glass bottles. The redemption company that the Troop uses will not accept glass. Also the glass bottles that get placed into the trailer sometimes break causing a hazard to the Scouts as they unload it. Please no glass.
