South Hamilton and Roland-Story boys golf compete in HOIAC quad meet at Saydel

The South Hamilton Hawks and Roland-Story Norsemen boys golf teams returned to action on Thursday, as they made the trip to Des Moines to compete in a HOIAC quad meet at Woodland Hills Golf Course. The Hawks and Norsemen were joined by Greene County and hosts Saydel.

South Hamilton would finish in 2nd by 1 stroke to meet champion Greene County, with a team score of 155 (+11). Junior Luke Martensen would be the top scoring Hawk, shooting a 38 (+2), as junior Michael Carlson and seniors Connor Deppe and Landon Sogard all shot 39’s (+3) to round out scoring.

Roland-Story would finish 3rd, 1 stroke behind South Hamilton with a 156 (+12), as Norsemen scores were not available as of Friday afternoon.

South Hamilton boys golf returns to action on Tuesday, when they compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center at 9 AM. Roland-Story boys golf returns to action on Monday at 1 PM when they compete in the BCLUW 18-Hole Tournament at Oakwood Golf Course in Conrad.
