Webster City girls track places 5th at Ram Relays in Jefferson

The Webster City Lynx girls track team returned to action on Monday night, as they made the drive south to compete in the Ram Relays at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The Lynx were joined by the hosts in Greene County, as well as ACGC, Boone, Carroll, East Sac, Fort Dodge, Kuemper Catholic and Perry.

Webster City would place 5th in the meet with 63.5 points on the night, coming away with a pair of winners. The sprint medley would win in a time of 1:54.59 with the team of Weinschenk-Wright-Savitski-Grossoehme. Izzy Grossoehme would follow by winning the 800m run in a time of 2:29.87. Cloe Savitski placed 2nd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.27, while placing 3rd in the 200m dash in a time of 27.56. Adysen Poppen placed 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 36′ 10″, while Amanda Lahr placed 3rd with a throw of 36′ 7″. The girls 4×800 placed 3rd in a time of 11:50.71 with the team of Santiago-L. VanDeer-Soesbe-Davis, while Cloe Savitski also placed 4th in the long jump with a mark of 14′ 3″.

Webster City girls track returns to action on Thursday, when they host the annual Lynx Relays at Bob Buckley Track at Webster City High School, beginning at 4:30 PM.
