Webster City girls soccer falls on the road to Humboldt, 3-1

The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip west to take on the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action at the Humboldt Soccer Field. Webster City entered at 6-6, while Humboldt entered at 8-6.

Humboldt was able to jump out to a 2-0 lead, holding that advantage going into halftime. Webster City would get on the board in the 2nd half, thanks to a Jillian Symens goal, but the Wildcats would keep the Lynx at arms length with a goal of their own in the 2nd half to ride out a 3-1 win. The Wildcats picked up goals from Elsie Hubbell, Ava McIntire and Ashley Carvajal.

Webster City girls return to action on Friday, when they host Boone to wrap up the regular season.
