Webster City girls soccer falls to Iowa Falls-Alden, 8-1

The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field. Webster City entered at 6-5 while IF-A entered at 9-2.

Webster City was able to battle with the Cadets in the first half, as Jayme Perez’s goal  kept the Lynx within arms length with a 3-1 halftime deficit. However, the Cadets poured it on in the 2nd half with 5 goals to take home a 8-1 victory. IF-A would be led by sophomore Demi Beaubien and senior Abbie Andrews with 2 goals each.

Webster City returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Humboldt to take on the Wildcats at the Humboldt Soccer Park.
