Webster City boys golf competes in NCC tri at Iowa Falls

The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they made the short trip east to Hardin County to compete in a North Central Conference tri meet with Iowa Falls-Alden and Algona at Highland Golf Club in Iowa Falls.

It would be a tightly contested meet, as Algona came out on top with a 166 (+22), Iowa Falls-Alden shot a 168 (+24), while Webster City shot a 172 (+28). Senior Braden Doering would be the top scorer, shooting a 42 (+6) and tying for 5th. Dawson Bertran and Braylon Plain would tie for 7th with each shooting a 43 (+7), while Trevyn Lyons rounded out scoring with a 44 (+8), tying him for 10th with teammates Cael Nixon and Luke Firsching.

Webster City returns to action on Thursday, when they host the Lynx Invite at Briggs Woods Golf Course beginning at 1 PM.
