Webster City girls soccer falls at home to Humboldt, 3-0

The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field in Webster City. The Lynx entered at 3-2, while the Wildcats entered at 3-2.

The first half would be close contest, until Humboldt junior Elsie Hubbell broke through with a couple of goals to put the Wildcats up 2-0 at the halftime break. The Lynx and Wildcats would play most of the 2nd half to a stalemate, before Ava McIntire put the finishing touches on the game with a late goal to solidify a 3-0 Humboldt win.

Webster City dropped to 3-3 with the loss, and return to action on Friday, when they host Greene County at Lynx Field at 5:30 PM.
