Roland-Story, South Hamilton wrestling compete in HOIC tri with Saydel

The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks wrestling teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they faced off with one another, as well as the Saydel Eagles in a Heart of Iowa Conference Tri-Dual at Roland-Story High School in Story City.

Roland-Story would go 2-0 on the night to cap off a 6-1 dual record in the conference, with a 67-12 win over Saydel and a 54-21 win over South Hamilton. Reigning conference champions Kade Blume and Hesston Johnson would go 2-0 each, with Johnson wrestling the only match between the two, pinning South Hamilton’s Sam Fink. Other 2-0 athletes for the Norsemen included Jaxson Kadolph (215), Aaron Peyton (285), Konnor Blume (106), Caiden Latch (113), Hayden Eslick (120), Anthony Jones (150) and Logan Powers (165).

South Hamilton would go 0-1, falling to the Norsemen by the aforementioned score of 54-21. The lone Hawk winners on the night were Holden Klein (126), Braden Young (150), Keyton Remsburg (157) and Graham Peters (190).

Roland-Story wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the Norsemen Duals Tournament at Roland-Story High School. South Hamilton wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the Lynn Moody Invitational at Pocahontas Area.
