Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, Eagle Grove wrestling face off in tri-dual with St. Edmond

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys and Eagle Grove Eagles wrestling teams faced off with one another on Tuesday night, as well as the St. Edmond Gaels, in a tri-dual at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School.

CGD would go 2-0 on the night, beating Eagle Grove 54-30 and beating St. Edmond 78-6. The Cowboys would get 2-0 nights from Lucas Ennis (106), Lucas Cayler (113), Ryan Hartwig (120), Caleb Seaba (165), Uli Frias (175), Santiago Deleon (190) and Ashtin Willms (215).

Eagle Grove would go 1-1 with the 54-30 loss to Clarion, and defeating St. Edmond 54-6. The Eagles had 2-0 nights from Mack Morgan (126), Cooper Thacker (132), Connor Christopher (144), Hayden Schafer (150) and Jayden Kreitlow (175).

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows wrestling doesn’t return to action until their Class 2A District Tournament at Independence on Saturday, February 10th. Eagle Grove returns to action on Saturday, as they compete in the Charger Invitational at ACGC High School in Guthrie Center.
