Campidilli elected Hamilton County Supervisor chairman for 2024.

Dan Campidilli was named as the chairman of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors for 2024 during the annual reorganizational meeting Tuesday morning at the courthouse. Campidilli succeeds Jerry Klobderdanz in that position. It was announced last month that this will be the final year for Campidilli to serve as second district county supervisor. The second district covers the northern part of Hamilton County with the exception of the city of Webster City. Rick Young was elected as supervisor chairman pro tem for 2024.
The supervisors approved one road closing request for 2024 for bridge repair on 250th Street between Saratoga and Tollman Avenues later in the year.
There were numerous appointments made to various boards and commissions. One of the most notable was the naming of Pam Harklau as the new HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) coordinator for Hamilton County as she will succeed Shelby Kroona as she will be retiring soon from her position as public health director. There will be no change in the county courhouse hours for business remaining 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday to Fridays. The list of holidays for the year were approved for the courthouse. The next holiday will be the Martin Luther King.Jr. Day on Monday,January 15 in which the courthouse will be closed..
Other resolutions approved by the Hamilton County Supervisors approved include providing authority to the county treasurer to invest county funds,the naming of depositories and other businesses in which county funds may be invested.They include Availa Bank. First State Bank and WCF Financial in Webster City, the Iowa Falls State Bank of Williams, Security Saving Bank in Stratford and Wells Fargo. Another resolution was to authorize the county engineer to execute utility permits.
The next scheduled meeting for the Hamilton County Supervisors will be held on Tuesday,January 9 at 9:00 in the courthouse basement conference room.
