No injuries in Christmas night fire in rural Webster City.

There were no injuries as the result of a house fire Christmas night in rural Webster City. Webster City Fire Chief Chuck Stansfield reported the call came in at 9:01 Monday night at 1752 258th Street approximately 2 miles south of Webster City. When fire fighters arrived, there were smoke and flames visible and that it was a working fire. Heavy flames were coming from the structure. The Duncombe and Stratford Fire Departments assisted the Webster City fire fighters as the scene. All of the occupants of the home were located outside but a primary search was still conducted and cleared with no injuries reported. An investigation was conducted to try and locate the origin and cause of the fire. Ventilation was conducted to remove smoke from the structure. The Webster City fire department report stated that the area of origin was noted to be in the kitchen of the home. The cause will be undetermined due to the lack of evidence.
