First meeting for December for the Webster City city council set for this Monday,December 4.

The Webster City city council meets this Monday evening, December 4 at 6:00 in the city council chambers. The council’s advanced agenda include considering a resolution accepting and executing easements with Dean Allen Gillette and Lorette M. Gillette for the new wastewater treatment plant project. There will also be a discussion and direction regarding the new wastewater treatment plant sanitary sewer force main path. A second reading of an ordinance amending the code of ordinances of the city of Webster City by amending a chapter on Water Sytem Rates will be discussed. An agreement with Frye’s Tree Service of Webster City for tree trimming and renoval services will be considered. A resolution approving and adopting for an on-call street paving specialist agreement for professional services with Snyder and Associates will be on the agenda this Monday evening.
In other matters, the Webster City city council will look at a resolution authorizing city staff to proceed with the necessary steps to complete an Economic Development Grant Agreement between the city and Riverview Early Childhood Center and to worth with the Riverview Early Childhood Center,Incorporated on necessary steps to convey city owned property located at 800 Ohio Street to the Riverview center.. The date of January 15,2024 at 6:05 p.m. will be set for a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated of cost for construction of the East Twin Park Splash Pad project.. A request authorizing the Webster City Street Department supervisor to seek bids and proceed with the purchase of a wheel loader with the cost not to exceed and amount of $290,000.There will be a discussion on re-evaluating the tree disposal site at the green waste site on East Ohio Street and on the application process for an interim city manager for Webster City. There will be a closed session of the city council to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individuals’s reputation .
