The Webster City Lynx volleyball team made the trip into Madison County on Saturday, to compete in the Winterset Tournament at Winterset High School. The Lynx were joined by the host Huskies, as well as Chariton, Gilbert, Greene County, Norwalk, Red Oak and South Central Calhoun.
The Lynx started off the day with a loss to perennial powers Red Oak 2-0 (18-21, 18-21) before facing off with the hosts in Winterset. The Huskies would take in a 2-0 sweep (15-21, 20-22) before the Lynx day ended at the hands of Greene County 2-0 (17-21, 15-21).
Webster City drops to 15-19 and will host Waverly-Shell Rock in their Class 4A, Region 5 opener on Tuesday night at 7 PM.
