The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Gaels of St. Edmond in North Central Conference action at CGD High School in Clarion. The Cowgirls entered Thursday with a record of 6-7 and 1-1 in North Central Conference play, while the Gaels entered at 3-7 and a similar 1-1 record in conference play.
CGD was able to pull away late in the 1st set to pick up a 25-20 win, before St. Edmond would make the 2nd set a little more uncomfortable, but the Cowgirls managed to take the set by a score of 25-22. CGD would then dominate the 3rd set by a score of 25-12 to pick up the 3-0 sweep.
Stats were not available at the time of release, CGD returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Forest City to compete in the Forest City Tournament.
