Roland-Story volleyball ranked in preseason IGHSAU poll

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released their initial volleyball poll for all 5 classes on Monday morning, just one KQ-Radio team was ranked, as Roland-Story sits #15 in Class 3A entering the season.

The Norsemen return a high-level of production after a 22-13 campaign in 2022, in what was seen as more of a rebuilding year. Back for Roland-Story are kills leaders in Madelyn Risdal (220) and Kamryn Lande (205). Also back is assists leader in setter Ali Charlson (631) and digs leader Grace Dowling.

Roland-Story is the only team from the Heart of Iowa Conference ranked in the initial poll, thus making them the early favorite to take home the conference title. The Norsemen open their season on Monday night, when they host Webster City, South Hamilton and Central Springs in a varsity quad at Roland-Story High School in Story City.
