The Webster City Lynx girls golf team made the trek west on Wednesday morning, to compete in their Class 3A, Region 2 Tournament at Carroll Country Club in Carroll. The Lynx were joined by the host Tigers, as well as ADM, West Marshall, Ballard, Denison-Schleswig, Gilbert, Glenwood, Greene County, Nevada, North Polk and Perry.
Webster City would place 10th as a team with a score of 467, Gilbert was the team champion with a score of 321. The Lynx top golfer on the day was junior Ava Peterson, who shot a 110 and placed in a tie for 38th. Claire Bailey shot a 111 and placed tied for 39th, Kennedy Hailing tied for 53rd by shooting a 122 and Carly Appel tied for 56th with a score of 124.
