Architectural firm to meet with the Webster City school board on the future plans for the Webster City High School this Monday evening.

An update from the FEH Design architectural firm on the their study of the Webster City high school will be presented at this Monday evening’s meeting of the Webster City Community School board. Officials with FEH have been working with the board on future plans for the school. The current Webster City high school building was constructed over 60 years ago. Since then there have been improvements to the school auditorium,a connection to the vocational education building and the construction of the multi purpose gymnasium.
Other matters at this Monday’s school board session will include the first reading of board policy for the succession of authority to the Superintendent. The approval of a signage bid from Terry and Bob’s Sign Company for a new sign at the administration building will be considered. The board is expected to approve a monetary donation from Rosine Kennedy for the purchase of choir robes for the high school music department. Fund raising requests from the Prom committee for a meal sold at a high school basketball game, the high school boys soccer team to host a soccer tournament this spring and the Dance Marathon committee to sell chocolates.
In personnel matters the Webster City school board will approve the hiring of Brownwyn McKee as a paraeducator and the acceptance of resignations of Leah Kasch as ninth grade softball coach and Dennis Dilly as a bus driver. The Webster City school board is expected to hear from representatives of McPherson and Jacobson on the search for a new superintendent plus other matters. The meeting will begin at 6:00 at the school administration office at 820 Des Moines Street.
