Paul Skartvedt named South Hamilton football coach

KQWC Radio learned on Tuesday night that Paul Skartvedt is expected to be named the new head football coach at South Hamilton High School, pending school board approval. Skartvedt will replace outgoing head coach Corey Klemp after 7 seasons at the helm.

Skartvedt is a native of Radcliffe and played his high school football for the former Hubbard-Radcliffe High School. Following high school, Skartvedt would play collegiately for Iowa State, playing his first two years under Jim Walden and his last two years under Dan McCarney.

Skartvedt was on the South Hamilton coaching staff in 2021 as a volunteer assistant. His son, Landen, was a 1,000-yard rusher for South Hamilton in 2021. The school board is expected to approve the hiring at their next meeting on June 13th.
