Jewell City Council to look at plans for the outdoor swimming pool season and for Jubilee Days

When the Jewell city council meets Monday evening, there will be a look at plans for the summer season at the Jewell outdoor swimming pool and the hiring of a new pool manager. A building lease for the Jewell Market at 607 King Street will be reviewed by the council. The first reading for authorizing the installation of a stop sign at Carmichael and Division Streets will be on the council agenda. There will be a look at plans for the Jewell Jubilee celebration set for this June including the approval of a liquor license, a fireworks permit and a road closing permit to be submitted to the Iowa DOT. A funding request for the Jewell T-ball and Junior Hawk baseball program will be looked at plus other matters. The Jewell city council meets at 7:00 Monday evening in the Jewell city hall council chambers.
