Area wrestlers competing in IWCOA Girls State Tournament in Coralville

The Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association are hosting their girls state tournament this weekend at Xtreme Arena in Coralville. Over 100 schools will be sending wrestlers to the Iowa City-Coralville area this weekend in the highly-successful event.

Webster City will be sending two wrestlers to the tournament, sophomore Maddison Pullis and senior Bryanna Croy. Pullis enters with a 4-3 record, and will face Dubuque Wahlert’s Emily Dominguez in the opening round of the 170-pound bracket, while Croy enters with a 1-7 record, and will face Alexis Winkey of Ames High in the opening round of the 125-pound bracket.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows also has a wrestler competing in this weekend’s tournament, as junior Abby Dorn will compete in the 120-pound bracket. Dorn enters with a 2-3 record and will face Lila Walding of Seargent Bluff-Lutton in the opening round.

The Tournament begins on Friday and will last into Saturday.
