The South Hamilton volleyball team made the trip to Perry on Tuesday night, to face off with the Jayettes in conference play for the first time. Perry joined the Heart of Iowa Conference from the Raccoon River Conference for the 2021-22 school year.
The Hawks got out to a lightning fast start, pouncing on the Jayettes early as South Hamilton scored a 25-10 win in Set 1. Set 2 had Perry battle back in a big way, pushing the match deep into extra sets, before South Hamilton finally clinched a 30-28 win. Set 3 was much of the same, as Perry held a 24-19 lead, before South Hamilton stormed back to score the final 7 points and win 26-24.
South Hamilton moves to 12-15 with the win and 2-5 in conference play, as they close out their regular season on Thursday against the PCM Mustangs.
